Vauxhall Vivaro dimensions

In our ‘Vauxhall Vivaro dimensions’ article, we give an overview of the measurements – inside and out – of both variants, the ‘Short’ or ‘L1’ and ‘Long’ or ‘L2’.

Sitting in between the small-sized Combo and large Movano, the Vivaro has been Vauxhall’s mid-sized van since 2001. The latest generation was introduced in 2019 and is noticeably smaller the previous generations and most of its competitors in this segment.

From 2019, the Vauxhall Vivaro is available with just one wheelbase (3,275mm), two overall body lengths (4,959mm and 5,309mm) and one roof height (1,397mm on the inside and 1,940mm on the outside).

There is a standard exterior width of 1,920mm (2,204mm with the door mirrors) and a standard interior width of 1,636mm (1,258mm between the wheelarches).

Vauxhall Vivaro dimensions – L1

The Vauxhall Vivaro L1 has a maximum load length of 2,512mm, although this reduces to 2,185mm at the mid-height. Given the standard load width and height, this gives a total load volume of 5.3 cubic metres.

Vauxhall Vivaro dimensions – L2

The Vauxhall Vivaro L2 has added overhang at the rear and is able to accommodate items of up to 2,862mm in length (2,535mm at the mid-height), which gives a total load volume of 6.1 cubic metres.

Vauxhall Vivaro Flex Cargo

Allowing people to safely store longer items, the Vauxhall Vivaro Flex Cargo system consists of a opening gate in the bulkhead in the bulkhead and a lifting seat. The gate measures roughly 500mm by 300mm, meaning it’s the largest load-through facility in its class.
